Hey there!!

Closely observe the triangle, the triangle given is a isosceles triangle , hence, the angles on the base would be equal and hence, angle R = 3x + 30

The sum of all angles in a triangle = 180

Hence , angle R + angle S + angle T = 180

... 3x + 30 + 12x - 15 + 3x + 30 = 180

... 18x + 45 = 180

... 18x = 180 - 45

... 18x =  135

... x = 135 / 18

... x = 7.5

Now substitute the value of x in the angle formula of R and we get the angle R.

... 3x + 30

... 3 ( 7.5 ) + 30

... 22.5 + 30

... 52.5° is the answer

Hope my answer helps!

Find the missing side. Round to the nearest tenth.
ziro4ka [17]

Answer:

x=7.2\ units

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

In the right triangle of the figure

The tangent of angle of 67 degrees is equal to divide the opposite side to the angle of 67 degrees (17 units) by the adjacent side to angle of 67 degrees (x units)

tan(67\°)=17/x

Solve for x

x=17/tan(67\°)

x=7.2\ units

Eliseo pays $8.99 for a one-point canister of Georgia pecans. Write and solve a proportion to determine the cost of 4 ounces of
dlinn [17]

Answer:

The cost of 4 ounces of the pecans is <u>$2.24</u>.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Eliseo pays $8.99 for a one-pound canister of Georgia pecans.

Now, to solve a proportion to determine the cost of 4 ounces of the pecans she needs for a particular recipe.

Let the cost of 4 ounces of the pecans be x.

1 pound = 16 ounces.

So, using unitary method we get cost of 1 ounces:

Cost of 16 ounces of the pecans = $8.99.

Cost of 1 ounces of the pecans = $8.99 ÷ 16 = $0.56.

According to question we set proportion:

4:x=1:0.56

So, to get by cross multiplication method:

\frac{4}{x} =\frac{1}{0.56}

<em>By cross multiplying we get:</em>

2.24=x

x=2.24

Thus, the cost of 4 ounces of the pecans is $2.24.
