American Indians are the major ethnic group which faces the highest poverty rate in United states of America.

Explanation:

American Indians are the only ethnic group that includes Inuit and Indian residents living in Alaska which face the highest poverty rate. African Americans comes the next highest ethnic group with an increased poverty rate. This is concluded by the US Census Board.  

African Americans are the people who face many economic and social issues in the American society and they have become the victims of poverty too. African American women are the group within the American society that suffers from highest rate of poverty.
