Answer: Allostatis

Explanation: Fight-or-flight response is the nervous system’s reaction to acute stressors and is characterized by the release of adrenaline as well as nonadrenaline. This results into heightened heart rate, sweating and increased blood pressure .

This physical response of the body is against Homeostatis, the state of physiological stability in humans. To return the body to this state, Allostatis occurs. What was the tallmadge amendment?
Likurg_2 [28]
The Tallmadge Amendment was a proposed amendment to a bill requesting the Territory of Missouri to be admitted to the Union as a free state. This amendment was submitted on February 13, 1819, by James Tallmadge, Jr., a Democratic-Republican from New York, and Charles Baumgardner. In response to the debate in Congress regarding the admission of Missouri as a state and its effect on the existing even balance of slave and free states, Tallmadge, an opponent of slavery, sought to impose conditions on Missouri that would extinguish slavery within a generation.

What is the argument for Plessy v. Ferguson (1896) upholding segregation for more than half a century?
Alex777 [14]

Answer:

it permitted separation of races if facilities were equal

Explanation:

The opposition of the segregation argued that the act of segregation is a direct violation of the constitution.  This amendment acknowledged black people/former slaves as citizens.

Which means that they should receive the same right as other citizens. Including public facilities.

According to Judges in Plessy v. Ferguson, The act of segregation is not considered as a violation of the amendment. Because the court at that time believe that the black citizens still treated as 'equal' , they're just separated.

This is why the phrase "Separate but equal" become popular after Plessy V. Fergusson.
