Given:

\log \left(x^{2}\right)+\log \sqrt{x^{3}+1}

To find:

The condense of the logarithmic function.

Solution:

\log \left(x^{2}\right)+\log \sqrt{x^{3}+1}

Apply log rule:

\log _{c}(a)+\log _{c}(b)=\log _{c}(a b)

Using the log rule:

\log _{10}\left(x^{2}\right)+\log _{10}(\sqrt{x^{3}+1})=\log _{10}\left(x^{2} \sqrt{x^{3}+1}\right)

\log \left(x^{2}\right)+\log \sqrt{x^{3}+1}=\log \left(x^{2} \sqrt{x^{3}+1}\right)

Find a polynomial P(x) with the zeros x=2, −(2), √3, −√3
Zigmanuir [339]

Answer:

P(x) = x^{4} - 7x² + 12

Step-by-step explanation:

Given zeros x = 2, x = - 2, x = \sqrt{3}, x = - \sqrt{3}

Then the factors are (x - 2), (x + 2), (x - \sqrt{3} ), (x + \sqrt{3} )

and the polynomial is the product of the factors, that is

P(x) = (x - 2)(x + 2)(x - \sqrt{3} )(x + \sqrt{3} ) ← expand in pairs using FOIL

      = (x² - 4)(x² - 3) ← distribute

     = x^{4} - 3x² - 4x² + 12 ← collect like terms

    = x^{4} - 7x² + 12

The principal of a high school spent 1700 for X desk each and Y chairs at $25 each if he had bought half the number of desk in t
KatRina [158]

Answer:

25X + 25Y = 1700

25X + 100Y = 3200

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the principal of a high school spent $1700 for X desk and Y chairs at $25 each. Then, the equation will be

25X + 25Y = 1700 ....... (1)

If he had bought half the number of desk in twice the number of chairs he would have spent 1600. That is

25(X/2) + 25(2Y) = 1600

25X/2 + 50Y = 1600

Find the LCM and cross multiply

25X + 100Y = 3200 ........(2)
