Given: AB = 12
Alexxx [7]

In proving  that C is the midpoint of AB, we see truly that C has Symmetric  property.

<h3>What is the proof about?</h3>

Note that:

AB = 12

AC = 6.

BC = AB - AC

= 12 - 6

=6

So, AC, BC= 6

Since C is in the middle, one can say that C is the midpoint of AB.

Note that the use of segment addition property shows: AC + CB = AB = 12

Since it has Symmetric property, AC = 6 and Subtraction property shows that CB = 6

Therefore,  AC = CB and thus In proving  that C is the midpoint of AB, we see truly that C has Symmetric  property.

See full question below

Given: AB = 12 AC = 6 Prove: C is the midpoint of AB. A line has points A, C, B. Proof: We are given that AB = 12 and AC = 6. Applying the segment addition property, we get AC + CB = AB. Applying the substitution property, we get 6 + CB = 12. The subtraction property can be used to find CB = 6. The symmetric property shows that 6 = AC. Since CB = 6 and 6 = AC, AC = CB by the property. So, AC ≅ CB by the definition of congruent segments. Finally, C is the midpoint of AB because it divides AB into two congruent segments. Answer choices: Congruence Symmetric Reflexive Transitive

2) Evaluate the given numerical expression.<br><br> A) 9<br> B) 12<br> C) 14<br> D) 21
eduard

Answer:

  • \boxed{\sf{14}}

Step-by-step explanation:

\boxed{\underline{\text{ORDER OF OPERATIONS:}}}

Use the order of operations.

Note: PEMDAS or BODMAS stands for:

<u>PEMDAS</u>

  • <u>Parentheses</u>
  • <u>Exponents</u>
  • <u>Multiply</u>
  • <u>Divide</u>
  • <u>Add</u>
  • <u>Subtract</u>

<u>BODMAS</u>

  • <u>Brackets</u>
  • <u>Order</u>
  • <u>Divide</u>
  • <u>Add</u>
  • <u>Subtract</u>

<u>First, do parentheses.</u>

3+6*(5+4)÷3-7

(5+4)=9

\Longrightarrow: \sf{3+6* 9\div 3-7}

<u>Do multiply and divide.</u>

6*9=54

54/3=18

<u>Then, rewrite the problem down.</u>

\Longrightarrow: \sf{3+18-7}

<u>Add.</u>

\sf{3+18=21}

\sf{21-7=\boxed{\sf{14}}

\Longrightarrow: \boxed{\sf{14}}

  • <u>Therefore, the correct answer is "C. 14".</u>

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.

Can someone explain this? :)
Alchen [17]

I'll do part (a) to get you started.

The angle 'a' pairs up with the 123 degree angle as a corresponding angle pair. Due to the parallel lines, the corresponding angles are congruent. Therefore a = 123.

We also see that b = 123 as well since a = b (they are vertical angles).

Notice how angle c is adjacent to the 123 degree angle. These two angles form a straight line, so they must add to 180 degrees.

c+123 = 180

c = 180-123

c = 57

-------------------------

To summarize, we have these three angles

a = 123

b = 123

c = 57

Answer:

Domain: -2\leq x\leq 2

Range: 0\leq y\leq 4

Step-by-step explanation:

The domain of a function is the set of values that one can input into a function and get a valid result.

The range of a function is the set of valid outputs that one can attain when a value is substituted into a function.

What is the value of x in the equation -2/3 x +9= 4/3x -3?
HACTEHA [7]

-2/3x+9=4/3x-3 original problem add 2/3x to both sides

9=6/3x-3 simplify 6/3 to 2 and add 3 to both sides

12=2x  divide both sides by 2

x=6

hope that helps
