Answer:
x=10
z=66

Explanation:
we know that
z=9x-24
&
2z+2(12x-6)=360
2z+24x-12=360
2z+24x=372
so
2(9x-24)+24x=372
18x-48+24x=372
44x-48=372
44x=440
x=10

& therefore
z=90-24
z=66

Hope this helps :)

Answer:

x = 10°

z = 66°

Step-by-step explanation:

(9x - 24)° + (12x - 6)°  = 180°\\21x° - 30° = 180° \\ 21 x° = 180°  +  30° \\ 21x° = 210° \\ x° =  \frac{180°}{30°}  \\ x° = 10°

z° = 9x - 24 ( vertically opposite )

z° = 9(10) - 24

z° = 90 - 24

z° = 66°

SpyIntel [72]

Answer:

936mm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Surface area of cuboid 20 mm 8mm 11mm

Surface area of the cuboid=2(20×8+8×11+11×20)

=2(160+88+×220)

=2(468)

=936mm^2

So the answer is936mm^2

  • Coordinates (x, y)
  • Solving systems of equation using substitution/elimination

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define Systems</u>

3y = -5x - 3

y = -x + 1

<u>Step 2: Rewrite Systems</u>

Equation y = -x + 1

  1. [Multiplication Property of Equality] Multiply everything by -3:                   -3y = 3x - 3

<u>Step 3: Redefine Systems</u>

3y = -5x - 3

-3y = 3x - 3

<u>Step 4: Solve for </u><em><u>x</u></em>

<em>Elimination</em>

  1. Combine 2 equations:                                                                                   0 = -2x - 6
  2. [Addition Property of Equality] Add 6 on both sides:                                  6 = -2x
  3. [Division Property of Equality] Divide -2 on both sides:                              -3 = x

<u>Step 5: Solve for </u><em><u>y</u></em>

  1. Define original equation:                                                                               y = -x + 1
  2. Substitute in <em>x</em>:                                                                                                y = -(-3) + 1
  3. Simplify:                                                                                                           y = 3 + 1
  4. Add:                                                                                                                 y = 4

(b) Find the angle between u and v to the nearest degree.
yulyashka [42]

<u>Question 1 (b)</u>

<u />u \cdot v=11\\\\|u|=\sqrt{3^{2}+(-1)^{2}}=\sqrt{10}\\\\|v|=\sqrt{4^{2}+1^{2}}=\sqrt{17}

So,

\cos \theta=\frac{11}{\sqrt{10}\sqrt{17}}\\\\\theta=\cos^{-1} \left(\frac{11}{\sqrt{10}\sqrt{17}} \right) \approx \boxed{32^{\circ}}

<u>Question 2 (b)</u>

<u />u \cdot v=22\\\\|u|=\sqrt{5^{2}+2^{2}}=\sqrt{29}\\\\|v|=\sqrt{4^{2}+1^{2}}=\sqrt{17}

So,

\cos \theta=\frac{22}{\sqrt{29}\sqrt{17}}\\\\\theta=\cos^{-1} \left(\frac{22}{\sqrt{29}\sqrt{17}} \right) \approx \boxed{8^{\circ}}
