Explanation:

Yes, there will always be a difference because everyone's lifestyle is different. Choosing to have a life “in spite” of what you have been dealt with is survival.  Living a life because of what you have endured, is living. Using the knowledge of the lessons you have learned from surviving to better your life, is what quality living is all about. For example, Kitty and her mother survived longer than the "obedient prisoner" by getting certain jobs. They lived an awful life but maintained it by doing what they had to do (Begging, obtain certain jobs, being silenced) to survive.
