Answer:

37) C

38) D

39) C

Step-by-step explanation:

37)

Perimeter of a circle = 2 π r

It is given that the radius is 4 yards

Substitute this into the formula

2 π 4

Substitute 3.14 in for π

2(3.14) * 4

6.28 *4

25.12

Rounded to the nearest tenth of a yard:

25.1    C

38)

Yvette's salary = s

Increased by 4.5%

4.5% = 0.045

Current salary: s + 0.045s         D

39)

Length =  = 4.75

Width = 4.75 ÷ 2 = 2.375

Area = (2 * Length) + (2 * Width)

Substitute in length and width values

Area = (2 * 4.75) + (2 * 2.375)

Area = 9.5 + 4.75

Area = 14.25 inches =  14\frac{1}{4} inches

C

Hope this helps :)

When a number is written in scientific notion, how can you tell right away whether or not it is or than or equal to one?
nikklg [1K]
Well, to know right away whether or not a number is equal to 1, you need to know what 1 is in scientific notation. 1 * 10^0. Easy enough :) To know if the number is greater than one, any positive number multiplied by 10^a number higher than 0 is greater than one. As well as any number greater than one multiplied by 10^0 or a positive number. For numbers less than one, the way to know is if the number is being multiplied by 10 ^ a negative number. I hope this helps :)

The design of a digital box camera maximizes the volume while keeping the sum of the dimensions at 6 inches. If the length must
love history [14]
H = x, L = 1.5 x;
L + W + H = 6
x + 1.5 x + W = 6
W = 6 - 2.5 x
Dimensions of the camera in terms of x:
x,  1.5 x,  6 - 2.5 x.
V = L x W x H
V = x * 1.5 x * ( 6 - 2.5 x ) = 9 x² - 3.75 x³
V ` = 18 x - 11.25 x² ( V max is when V` = 0 )
18 x - 11.25 x² = 0
x ( 18 - 11.25 x ) = 0
11.25 x = 18
x = 18 : 11.25
x = 1.6
The dimensions are:
L = 2.4
W = 2.0
H = 1.6

What is the graph of 4x + 8y = 16?
Vinil7 [7]

Answer: Slope:  -1/2     y-intercept:  2

Step-by-step explanation:

Subtract 4 x from both sides of the equation. 8 y = 16 − 4 x Divide each term by 8 and simplify. Divide each term in 8 y = 16 − 4 x by 8 . 8 y 8 = 16 8 + − 4 x 8 Cancel the common factor of 8 . Tap for fewer steps... Cancel the common factor. 8 y 8 = 16 8 + − 4 x 8 Divide y by 1 . y = 16 8 + − 4 x 8. y=2−x2. The slope-intercept form is y = m x + b , where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. y = m x + b Reorder 2 and − x 2 . y = − x 2 + 2. Rewrite in slope-intercept form. y = − 1 2 x + 2.Slope:−1/2  y-intercept:2
