Because of the options you give, I know that we did the same test. Anyway, the Crimean war wasn't a major cause but because of Autocratic rule. I am 80% sure its that one, since they've had a history in that stuff.

How can you explain the increase in membership of the KKK during the 1920's
Vlad [161]

i guess it grew alot because the 1920s was a very racist time period.

They had slavery abolished at the time, and many whites were angered.

Nathan Bedford Forrest created the ku klux klan, he was a cotton farmer,a slave owner, and a slave trader.

He was also the confederate army general.

Is it possible for a country with a high GDP to also have a high poverty rate? why or why not?
fredd [130]
Yes, this is possible although it's more likely that a country with a low GDP would have a high poverty rate. GDP is a total measure out output/production and doesn't take into account individual wealth.

All were reasons that Americans opposed imperialism, except?
Sloan [31]

The correct answer is "D".

There was a wave of "Anti Imperialism" who emerged in America during 1898. After defeating the Spanish in the Wars for territories such as Cuba, Guam, The Philippines and Cuba, Americans, instead of letting those territories decide their political faith, decided they would exercise control over them, managing their economic activities. This was seen by many "Anti Imperialists" as something that did not represent the Constitution of the United States.
