<span>After World War II, the Marshall Plan helped countries in Western Europe with rebuilding their economies--since almost every country in Europe at this time had been devastated by the war. </span>
<span>Enslaved Africans traveled across the Atlantic Ocean to America by way of the "Middle Passage," since this was part of the "Triangle Trade" that existed between the New World, Africa, and Europe. </span>
Germany believed it could win the war before the United States could fully mobilize its military and they no longer had to battle on the Eastern front after Russia withdrew.
