<span>Pronouns in the objective case may function as objects. When it comes to the parts of speech used in the objective case, the only function they can have is that of the object in a sentence. That object can be a direct object, an indirect object, or the object of a preposition. These pronouns thus cannot be subjects, because then they would be in the subjective case. Pronouns cannot be adjectives, and predicate nominatives are only nouns, which pronouns are not.</span>

If you have, your teacher probably responded to your question with another question: “Well, what interests you?”he or she will have the most to say about that topic because one will hold points of view/opinions on the matter. As such it is safe to say that an author who writes about obstacles usually has an opinion about obstacles.

A metaphor used in martin Luther King's letter to Birmingham jail
Marizza181 [45]
Martin Luther King Jr. uses several metaphors in his letter to Birmingham jail. One in specific is "Let us all hope that the dark clouds of racial prejudice will soon pass away and the deep fog of misunderstanding will be lifted from our fear drenched communities."  Here he is comparing racism to that off of storm clouds and the darkness that storms bring without the sunlight of day.
Hope this helps! If you need any more help or would like further explanation just let me know!!! :)
