Why did the u.s. department of labor encourage the employment of women in the 1950s?
BlackZzzverrR [31]
The U.S. had many women employed at the end of the 1940's due to World War II and as the troops returned from overseas, not all were able to return to the workforce which encouraged women to continue in the labor market at that time. This trend was encouraged through the 1950's to ensure a robust workforce at home as many men were either fighting in the Korean war or unable to return to the workforce still after World War II.

What is the constitution for? Why is it important to the US?
OLEGan [10]
The Consitution is used to bring law and order to the US. It is the basis of our government, our foundation. It is what helps the US abide by the laws created by our founders, and not go against the citizen's natural freedoms. It is important to the US because it gives the people our rights, freedoms, order, and law. We need the Constitution to run the country fairly and give all people equal representation. The government is a balance of law and organic freedoms to citizens.

I hope this helps!
