The monoglyceride molecule contain more energy than a glucose molecule because monoglyceride requires more oxygen for each carbon atom because there are more electrons surrounding each carbon in monoglyceride. Therefore, to oxidize monoglyceride more oxygen having high affinity for electrons, are required. Thus, monoglyceride produces more energy.

Monoglyceride Molecule has Carbon Atoms

We can assume that the reason is the molecular formula of monoglyceride molecule has more carbon atoms than a glucose molecule because of the molecular formula of monoglyceride citrate is C9H14O9. It clearly indicates that the carbon atoms are in excess in the monoglyceride molecle than glucose molecules. Monoglycerides are a type of glycerides that are made of a particle of glycerol connected to a fatty acid by an ester bond.

jeka94

A biomass pyramid shows the total mass of the organisms that each trophic level occupies in an ecosystem. Usually, producers have a higher biomass than any other trophic level, but there can be lower amounts of biomass at the bottom of the pyramid if the rate of primary production per unit biomass is very fast.
