Ivan 1 or Ivan Danilovich also known as Ivan Moneybag or in Russian Ivan Kalita was the grand prince of Moscow and the grand prince of Vladimir who was known for policies that increased Moscow's power and transformed it into the richest principality in northeastern Russia.
