Red Scare refers to the period following the Second World War in which the threat of communism engulfed American Society and created an atmosphere of fear. The name Red scare signifies the alliance to the red Soviet flag which was a mark of communism at that time. Many government officials and Hollywood starts have to prove their loyalty in the McCarthy administration.
