Answer:

Greed

Explanation:

Spain's settlement of the New World did appear to have some religious undertones to it, at least at the beginning. But, I think overall it was really for just greed. I think all of the reasoning they gave for wanting to conquer was just covering up the fact that they just wanted to get their first. Like with any case of imperialism, all any country wants is to have control over much more land than other countries. Not to mention the new items and materials discovered, which probably sold for a high price. I also think there is a part of us human beings, that are always striving to expand and find more beyond what we know, but that's a whole other topic entirely.

Which is one reason that factory work was dangerous in the 1800s?
hodyreva [135]

C) Most machines had few safety features.

Machines of the Industrial Era lacked any safety features that would prevent bodily harm to the workers.

Workers in factories faced machines with open moving parts that workers could get caught in. Workers lost digits and limbs in machines leaving them unable to work. Children were often hurt going under machines to pick up pieces that had fallen. The meatpacking industry was particularly dangerous with open grinders. Mining also posed threats to falling in a shaft or mines falling in on miners. The factories also lacked ventilation, open doors, fire stairs, and other safety features that are now common.
