A "projection" is a way of displaying the 3-D Earth in a 2-D form (C) ... like on a piece of paper.

There are many different map projections. Each one has advantages and disadvantages. It's not possible to correctly reproduce all the details of a globe surface on a flat piece of paper. Something's gotta give.

As explained below.

Explanation:

 • The grand canyon is a steep side canyon that is formed the Colorado rover in the state of Arizona and is a 277 mile long and is 29 km wide. The Colorado River established its course about 5 to 6 million years ago and since then has been cutting the tributaries and deepening the canyon.
 • The upliftment lined to the mountain formation later moved the sediments thousand feet upwards and created the Colorado plateau. Causing the temperatures in the northern rimland to decrease than in the southern rim due to its greater height above elevation.
 • As weather varies according to the elevations the forested rims have high snowfall but the temperature at the Colorado rover is warmer, about 1,737 species of vascular planet and fungi, lichens and others are found at 24,00 meters height.
