5 0

Answer:

1 4/5

Step-by-step explanation:

3/5 * 3/1 .....3 is the same as 3/1.....now just multiply them and u get 9/5.....now this is an improper fraction (the numerator is larger then the denominator)....u can turn improper fractions into mixed numbers (where u have a whole number and a fraction).

9/5.....how many times does 5 go into 9 without going over ?....it goes in there 1 time....so that is ur whole number.....5 x 1 = 5....u need 4 more to get to 9....that remainder 4 is ur numerator....and put that over ur original denominator.

so as a mixed number, 9/5 = 1 4/5

Evaluate to one decimal place
ANTONII [103]

Answer:

The correct answer is C. 1.6

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's recall that e or Euler's number is a mathematical constant that is the base of the natural logarithm, in other words, the unique number whose natural logarithm is equal to one. The value of e is approximately 2.71828.

Now, replacing e, we have:

2.71828∧(1/2) = √2.71828 = 1.6 (Rounding to one decimal place)

The correct answer is C. 1.6

A corner store sells two kinds of baked goods: cakes and pies. A cake costs $4 and a pie costs $6. In one day, the store sold 9
Troyanec [42]

Answer:

the number of cakes sell is 5

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the number of cakes sold is shown below;

Let us assume

The cake be C

And, the pie cost be P

Given that

There is two types of baked goods sold

The cost of the cake is $4

And, the cost of the pie cost is $64

Now the store sold 9 baked goods for a total of $44

So, the equation would be

C + P = 9

P = 9 - C ...... (1)

4C + 6P = 44............(2)

Now put the value of P in equation 2

4C + 6(9 - C) = 44

4C + 54  - 6C = 44

-2C = -10

C = 5

And, P = 4

hence, the number of cakes sell is 5

Solve by completing the square? Could you please work it out step-by-step?
DaniilM [7]
16 n^2 -10n + 129 = 8n^2 -8

We collect the terms:
8n^2 -10n + 137 = 0

The steps for completing the square:

1) Move the "non X" (or "non N") term to the right:

8n^2 -10n  = -137

2) Divide the equation by the coefficient of N² which in this case is 8
n^2 -1.2n = -17.125

3) Take the coefficient of "N"; divide it by 2; square it; add it to both sides of the equation.
-1.2 / 2 = -.6
-.6^2 = .36

n^2 -1.2n +.36 = -17.125 +.36

Take the square root of both sides:
(n-.6)*(n-.6) = sq root(    -16.765    )
That's about as far as I can go.
