The events which led to the long walk of the Navajo given below.                  

Explanation:

During the 1860s, most of the Americans pioneers began to settle around Navajo lands which led to the conflict between the two groups, including Navajo people and settlers. To prevent any further fighting, the U.S. Army formed a plan to move all Navajos from their homeland. The relocation of the Navajo people began in 1864, and they forced to walk for long distances which came to be known as the Long Walk.
