Answer:

She was caring and concerned.

Explanation:

Maya Angelou's autobiography "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sing" is a description of her early years and the racism and trauma she endured. Through this book, she addresses issues of racism and also how her childhood affected her older years.

Maya's grandmother or more commonly known as Momma was the guardian of Maya and her brother Bailey. They lived in a small town of Stamps in Arkansas, where her grandmother owns the only shop in the locality.

One day, Maya had gone to help out a white lady Mrs. Flowers with her groceries. On her return, Mrs. Flowers had given her books to read and learn, and also cookies for the family. Momma admitted that she really tried to teach them whatever she could but things don't always go as planned. Her dialogue reveals she is trying her best to provide for all their needs as best as she could. She is the parent figure for the siblings, and throughout the story, we will see that she is a concerned and caring person.
