Answer:

regular hourly wage is $14 per hour

Step-by-step explanation:

Let  x be the regular hourly wage

he earned his regular hourly wage for the first 40 hours worked

so its 40x

3/2 times his regular hourly wage for the next 20 hours worked

3/2 is 1.5. 1.5x for next 20 hours

So its 30x

2 times his regular hourly wage for the remaining 10 hours worked

2x times 10 is 20x

Now we add all the wages we got . total earned is 1260

40x+30x+20x=1260

90x=1260

divide both sides by 90

x= 14

So regular hourly wage is $14 per hour

Form a polynomial with zeros:−2 multiplicity 3; 1 multiplicity 2; 3 multiplicity 1;degree 6 You may leave your answer in factore
Darina [25.2K]

Answer:

f(x) = (x+2) (x+2)^3 (x-1) (x-6)

Step-by-step explanation:

The first zero, -2, corresponds to the factor x+2 of the polynomial.

Given that this zero, -2, has multiplicity 3, (x+2)^3 represent the first three factors of the polynomial.

The next factor stems from the zero 1:  (x-1).

The next 6 factors stem from the zero 6:  (x-6).

Writing the polynomial in factored form, we get:

f(x) = (x+2) (x+2)^3 (x-1) (x-6)
