The answer is c because a pathfinder is someone who finds a way to get to something possibly unknown and a pioneer is someone who is the first or close to the first person to find something therefore the words would emphasize that the area is largely unknown. Hope this helps ;)

The rhyme scheme of the poem is ababab cdcdd efefef. the poem made Byron to say "i awoke one morning and found myself famous." this shows that the poem brought fame to Byron.

The poem is written in the "Spenserian stanza. the spenserian stanza contains  eight iambic pantemetre lines followed by a twelve syllabic iambic line known as alexandrie. The poem also created romantic archetype known as the "Bryomic hero"

JOHN CLAY: murderer, thief and fraudulent has a criminal record for grand theft, has arrest warrant and is very wanted. His brain is as cunning as his fingers. Clay claims to be of noble blood, and was well-educated. Holmes called him the fourth smartest man in London.
