"<span>Andrew wanted to learn to play the guitar – even though he couldn’t read music – so he could join a band" is the only proper response, since in this case the elongated hyphen is acting like parenthesis in order to give further information. </span>

1. Edith Hamilton, he was talking about Pyramus and Thisbe. how even if they were separated by a wall they still found a way to talk to each other by whispering they couldn’t be together physically but talking was just enough.

2. This means that no matter what that anyone can love. Pyramus and Thisbe are a prime example. Love can always find a way, and the more you try to keep someone from loving they end up loving more.

3. This quote is an example of a metaphor. the quote is comparing love being forbidden to a flame being covered but still burning hotter. it does not use the words “like” or “as” and its making a comparison by using an example.

Arte-miy333 [17]
In this chapter, Scout begins to notice that other children in her class have traits and behaviors that she does not understand. Specifically, she becomes angry and judgmental when Walter Cunningham is at her house for dinner, and begins to pour syrup on all of his food. Scout is unaware of Walter's home life, and merely sees this action as him choosing not to act in a way that she believes is right. Atticus and Calpurnia, knowing that Walter does not know any better, remind her that Walter, has had a different upbringing than she has, and has not had many of the opportunities that she has had. When Atticus has this discussion with Scout, he wants her to understand that although people may have their differences, it is important to try and see things from their points of view. This quote is one of the earliest examples of the recurring theme of Scout learning about empathy throughout the novel.

Read the excerpt from "Healthy Eating."
Vesna [10]

Answer:

A busy lifestyle often gets in the way of healthy eating habits.

Explanation:

The writer in the given excerpt is arguing about the fact that often healthy eating habits are interrupted because of a busy lifestyle.

<u>As the lifestyle has become busier spending time on eating healthy food has become an uphill battle. As stated in the excerpt, it is true that when a person comes tired from work he/she, instead of spending time on cooking, prefers to order food from outside or microwave packed food, which is unhealthy</u>.

The irony of such an instance is that people earn money for food only but hardly spend time investing in healthy eating habits.

So, the author's argument in the above excerpt is that a busy lifestyle has interrupted healthy eating habits.
