Explanation:

This is the normal way to ride home after parties, but it's not the safest way to do it, because alcohol inhibit human reactions towards stimulus. So, in case of a abnormality in the road, the good friend won't be able to react safely, increasing the risk of an accident.

Basically, when you drink alcohol, some neurotransmitters are more active than usual, which is the case of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), a neurotransmitters responsible for nerves and other neurotransmitters inhibition, which make you feel more relaxed. Naturally, GABA controls fear, anxiety and overexcited neurones. That's why drinking alcohol before driving, it's the worst decision made.

On the other hand, taking a taxis or bus, calling an adult or riding home with a sober driver, are the safest ways, because you would be using a responsible person, who doesn't have alcohol in his bloodstream.
