John Calvin made important works that made the Protestant movement broader especially among North Europe,
He wrote on predestination- the notion of Christian faith were all souls are ultimately saved or doomed before coming into being and solely determined by God's sovereignity, became a cornerstone belief that triggered important differences in the social and economic life of Protestant communities.
Calvin died in Switzerland after becoming a prominent figure in Theology and Academic circles. His legacy helped make the Protestant faith more appealing to an increasing number of people unsatisfied with the Pope.
