5 0

Answer:

4/5 = 8/10=20 /25 = 28 /35 = 40 /50 = 140 /175

Step-by-step explanation:

As long as you multiply the numerator and denominator by the same number you can always find another equivalent fraction:

×

3

3

is the same as

×

1

, which does not change the value.

4

5

×

3

3

=

12

15

 or

4

5

×

8

8

=

32

40

and so on ....

4

5

=

8

10

=

20

25

=

28

35

=

40

50

=

140

175

...

These are just some of the equivalent fractions for

4

5

They are all equal, they just look different!

If you divide them, they are all equal to

0.8

which is

80

%

I know this isn’t as long as the other dude but just multiply both parts by the same number and it become equal. Like if you multiplied by 2 on both sides it would be 8/10

Answer:

9

41/4

23/2

51/4

14

Step-by-step explanation:

The first term is the first term that is given. Just copy it.

Each next term is the previous term plus the common difference.

First term: a_1 = 9

Second term: a_2 = 9 + 5/4 = 36/4 + 5/4 = 41/4

Third term: a_3 = 41/4 + 5/4 = 46/4 = 23/2

Fourth term: a_4 = 46/4 + 5/4 = 51/4

Fifth term: a_5 = 51/4 + 5/4 = 56/4 = 14

Convert 7.7km into miles if 1.6 km = 1 mile
Lemur [1.5K]
This is a simple equation.

The equation is y = 1.6x with y being the miles and x being the kilometers.

Lets plug the kilometers in.

Y=1.6(7.7)

1.6 * 7.7 = 12.32

12.32 miles is equal to 7.7 kilometers

HOWEVER

There are about .6 miles in a kilometer, so if you typed this wrong I don't know.

It is still the same concept.

Y = .6x

Y = .6(7.7)

.6 * 7.7 = 4.8

In this case there are 4.8 miles in 7.7 kilometers

Ilya [14]

Answer:

a₁ = 38

Step-by-step explanation:

Given AP, where:

 • 8a₈ = 12a₁₂
 • d = -2,
 • a₁ = ?

=============

Solution

aₙ = a₁ + (n-1)d

 • a₈ = a₁ + 7d = a₁ + 7*(-2) = a₁ - 14
 • a₁₂ = a₁ + 11d = a₁ + 11*(-2) = a₁ - 22

8a₈ = 12a₁₂

 • 8(a₁ - 14) = 12(a₁ - 22)
 • 2(a₁ - 14) = 3(a₁ - 22)
 • 2a₁ - 28 = 3a₁ - 66
 • 3a₁ - 2a₁ = -28 + 66
 • a₁ = 38

One third of a bird's eggs hatched. If 2 eggs hatched, how many eggs did the bird lay?
Elodia [21]
The bird laid 6 eggs since only 1/3 hatched, one can multiply 2 by 3 to get 3/3 of the eggs which would equal 6.
