The Economic Depression of 1873 was also known as The Panic of 1873 and it consisted, basically on a financial crisis that triggered a depression in Europe and North America that started in 1873 and did not finish until 1879, and even longer in some countries, including France and Britain.

In Britain, for example, it was known as the "Long Depression" that weakened the country's economic leadership.

As a matter of fact, it had several causes, of which economic historians debate the relative importance.

The first symptoms of the crisis were financial failures in Vienna, which spread to most of Europe and North America by 1873.

lord [1]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Here, we just have a statement, not a question. If this is a true or false question, then the answer is "true."

It is true that  Ziggurats were religious monuments dedicated to specific Mesopotamian gods, while pyramids were built over the tombs of pharaohs in ancient Egypt.

Ziggurats were impressive buildings built by the Sumerians as religious ceremonial centers to honor their different gods. They were located in the middle of the most important Sumerian cities such as Nippur, Eridu, Ur, and Uruk.

Regarding the pyramids, official ancient Egyptian history says that the Pharaohs built the major pyramids in Cairo, Egypt(Gize) as mausoleums to bury them in tombs.

Explain ONE specific historical example that refutes the claim made by Jared Diamond.
Olin [163]

Answer:

Agriculture helped in achieving a better standard of living.

Explanation:

Jared Diamond argues that crowding led to spread of diseases and infections among people. However, when agriculture was first discovered and established, societies and villages started to shift towards a better standard of living. Societies and villages gradually became the centre of all man-made achievements.

From medicines to security, societies started developing various ways of life that helped in preventing sicknesses and diseases, predators, disharmony, etc. Though there were higher chances of spread of diseases, development of medicines and preventive measures quickly responded in societies.
