I believe there has been an increasing interest in hemispheric specialization because many people are <em>highly educated</em> nowadays which <em>makes them constantly curious with many things.</em>

Studying and investigating the roles of the two hemispheres allows people (the public) to know how their body's function. Exploring unknown areas of study is a normal activity for advanced species like the human beings.

Hemispheric specialization also allows health care professionals to know the underlying conditions of their patients and in this way, they can assist them with proper care.
