Most Puritans believe in the Church of England, they didn't set up separate religious congregations different from the Church of England. But some Puritans who were called as the "separating Puritans" were advocates of setting congregations outside the Church. One of these groups is The Colony of Rhode Island spearheaded by Roger Williams.
