Answer is (B) The wolf is a carnivore that depends on its canine teeth to puncture flesh and its molars to crush bone.

Wolves and other canids have adapted to have very specialized oral anatomy. They have short incisors in the front; long, sharp canines next to the incisors; and larger, flatter molars and premolars in the back. The sharp canine teeth are used to grab the prey tightly by puncturing its skin. The flat molars help the wolf to break the bones and help in chewing the meat.

According to this study, it may have had to do with the deactivation (technically known as “pseudogenization”) of an umami taste receptor gene. Umami is the taste that makes things like meat, soy sauce, and mushrooms extra yummy. Apparently, at some point in panda evolution, the umami receptor became non-functional. Based on how much the gene has changed, the authors calculate that this happened around the same time that pandas started eating bamboo. Whether it’s cause or effect is unclear, although the authors think the switch to bamboo may have happened before the gene was lost. Regardless, the loss of the gene reinforced the panda’s vegetarian diet because it made meat less delicious to the bears.

The process of DNA replication is described. Identify the enzyme that participates in each part of the replication process. DNA
Kazeer [188]

Answer:

Helicase

Explanation:

DNA replication is the process in which DNA makes copies of itself.

The process of DNA  replication is supported by several enzymes.

The initial step of DNA replication is unwinding of double stranded DNA which is catalyzed by helicase enzyme. Helicase enzymes breaks the hydrogen bond between the  DNA strands and prepare them for replication process.

Hence, the correct asnwer is "Helicase".

Lungs in humans and many other species branch out into many tubes until they end in small sacks called alveoli. These alveoli al
Lorico [155]

Answer:

It provides more surface area for the absorption of oxygen.

Explanation:

The advantage of lungs with alveoli compared to lungs without alveoli is the availability of large surface area for the oxygen absorption. Alveoli allows oxygen from the air to pass into your blood. There are 480 million alveoli are present in human lungs, this large number and small size of alveoli provides lungs a large surface area to volume ratio so we can conclude that the lungs work better with the help of alveoli as instead of lungs without alveoli.
