Biology

A Punnett square is used to find out the possible genotypes of the next generation after a cross from 2 parents.

Usually, the letters outside the box are the genotypes of the parents, and the letter inside is the possible genotypes of their next generation.

The image inserted is an example of a Punnett square (made in MS word). It shows the cross of parents with genotypes Aa, and thus leads to possible next generation with genotypes of either AA, Aa or aa.

sashaice [31]

Carbohydrates are your body’s main source of energy. The amount of carbs a man should consume daily depends on his age and activity level. The Institute of Medicine suggests adults to eat at least 130 grams of carbs a day. But If you’re a competitive athlete like Shana, you need additional amount.

A study made by The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recommends a 2.3 to 4.5 grams of carbohydrates per pound of body weight each day, to athletes depending on the intensity of training. Therefore, Shana who weighs 135 lbs, needs approximately 310.5 grams carbohydrates daily for her physical workouts.

What is plant "blinking"? Why do plants do this?
Likurg_2 [28]

BLINK protein speeds up stomatal movements in response to light fluctuations resulting in improved plant growth and water use.

Plants can't move, so their “blinking” helps protect them from burning or bleaching when they are in bright sun.

I'm not sure if the first part is right, but I do know the second part is.
