Why SA must include renewable energy sources in its energy mix?
tester [92]
South Africa's location makes it a key spot for renewable energy in the forms of wind, hydroelectric and solar, as it is on the peninsula of the continent it has access to many of these rich resources. There is also a great deal of industry in South Africa, particularly in the mining of metals, as one of the country's largest exports. This extraction uses huge amounts of energy in the process and most of this equipment used in the extraction pumps toxic gases and chemicals into the atmosphere, if SA uses more renewable energy sources, the levels of pollution will decrease.

mixer [17]

Answer: fossil groups

William Smith was a British engineer and geologist born in 1769. He is known for having developed the first geological map, based on his observations of the rock layers (strata).

It should be noted that during his studies of these strata, Smith realized that each stratum had certain types of fossil groups, different from the others, as it advanced vertically.

In addition, he observed that in distant places the strata showed the same characteristics and the fossils were always the same at the same level, despite the samples being kilometers far apart from each other.

From there, Smith determined a way to recognize a specific stratum (regardless of its horizontal location) by the fossil remains it contained.
