Answer:

1.29

Explanation:

From the question above Stan holds a portfolio consisting of $10,000 investment in each 8 different common stocks

The portfolio's beta is 1.25

Suppose Stan decides to sell one of his stocks that has a beta of 1.00

He then used the money gotten from it to buy a replacement stock with beta of 1.35

The first step is to calculate the amount and weight in each stock

Amount in each stock = 10,000/8

= $1,250

Weight in each stock= 1250/10,000

= 0.125

The next step is to calculate the change in portfolio's beta

= weight × change in security beta

= 0.125×(1.35-1)

= 0.125× 0.35

= 0.04375

Therefore, the new porfolio's beta can be calculated as follows

= 1.25+0.04375

= 1.29

Hence the new portfolio's beta would be 1.29

FIFO ("first in, first out") is based on these production costs, assuming that the oldest products in a company's inventory are sold first. The LIFO (last in, first out) method assumes that the newest product in the company's inventory was sold first, and uses that cost instead.

FIFO (First In, First Out) Inventory Management evaluates inventory to reduce the likelihood of business losses when products are phased out or discontinued. LIFO (last in, first out) inventory management is suitable for non-perishable goods and uses the current price to calculate the cost of goods sold.

The financial statements of Vaughn Manufacturing Company report net sales of $643100 and accounts receivable of $92000 and $2600
Sloan [31]

Answer:

The correct answer is 10.9 times.

Explanation:

According to the scenario, computation of the given data are as follow:-

Average account receivable = (Opening account receivable + Closing accounts receivable) ÷ 2

= ($92,000 + $26,000) ÷ 2

= $118,000 ÷ 2

= $59,000

We can calculate the account receivable turnover by using following formula :-

Accounts receivable turnover = Net sales ÷ Average Account receivable

= $643,100 ÷ $59,000

= 10.9 times

EAT       EBIT * (1-t)         EBIT - Interest - Tax

No. of shares         4,200                   3,800

Payoff per share holder = EAT / Number of shares. At Indifference point, per share payoff should be equal in both cases

EBIT * 0.66 / 4,200 = (EBIT - (37,000*8%) * 0.66) / 3,800

0.66*EBIT / 4,200 = [0.66*EBIT - 2,960*0.66] / 3,800

3,800 * 0.66EBIT = 4,200*[0.66EBIT - 1,954]

2,508 EBIT = 2,772 EBIT - 8,206,800

2,772 EBIT - 2,508 EBIT = 8,206,800

264 EBIT = 8,206,800

EBIT = 8,206,800/264

EBIT = 31086.36363636364

EBIT = $31,086.36
