Reading has many benefits, but also comes with some downfall. With the availability of books and e-books we have today there is no excuse for today's youth to not read, write or use proper language. But also, some books are being banned for the content, or lack thereof. For example, Maya Angelou's I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. This book can be categorized under multiple genres. It is given the rating for mature audiences, because it using language and content for those who understand the time period it was written. The work of art goes into detail about the life of a young, black girl who got her first job at a really young age and the horrifying experiences she had to go through just because of the color of her skin to the disrespect her and her mother had received because of her mother's low social status, which is based on how much money you have and how much you make.

People should be able to read specific types of books. Over the globe people have been picking out and reading varieties of novels. People have the right to choose certain books to read. It depends on their likes and personality to choose a different book that they want to read. Humans should choose their own books, as long as they know and understand what they are going to read. If you keep people's right to choose they will fight back, and protest.

Even though, people can choose their books, they should be able to choose certain novels they enjoy to read. People should not be held against their own will, they should choose their own believe. They should be able to choose their certain type of book they want to read.

Can someone plss help me with this question!!!!!
Maru [420]

Answer:

Explanation:

Women in the ancient greek world had few rights in comparison to male citizens. Unable to vote, own land, or inherit, a woman's place was in the home and her purpose in life was the rearing of children. That is a general description and when considering Greek women one should remember our sources are incomplete and not always unbiased.

Unfortunately, information regarding specific city-states is often lacking regarding women and is almost always from male authors. Only in Athens can their status and role be described in any great detail. Neither are we sure of the practical and everyday application of the rules and laws that have survived from antiquity. We do know that Spartan women were treated somewhat differently than in other states. For example, they had to do physical training like men, were permitted to own land, and could drink wine.

been spawned here in our country, that inflation somehow came upon us like a plague and therefore it's uncontrollable and no one can do anything about it, is entirely spurious, and it's dangerous to say this to the people. When Mr. Carter became President, inflation was 4.8 percent, as you said. It had been cut in two by President Gerald Ford. It is now running at 12.7 percent. President Carter also has spoken of the new jobs created . . . But that can't hide the fact that there are 8 million men and women out of work in America today, and 2 million of those lost their jobs in just the last few months. Mr. Carter had also promised that he would not use unemployment as a tool to fight against inflation. And yet, his 1980 economic message stated that we would reduce productivity and gross national product and increase unemployment in order to get a handle on inflation, because in January, at the beginning of the year, it was more than 18 percent.

Which reasons and evidence does Reagan use to support his argument? Check all that apply. (1) the gross national product in 1979 (2) the gross national product in 1980 (3) the decrease in inflation rates (4) the increase in inflation rates (5) the number of jobs lost (6) the number of jobs created

What do early metaphors for translation have in common?
malfutka [58]
They are all about the same topic. And they use something else as an example of transformation... thus making it an analogy, or a metaphor.
