Answer:

The economic system prevailing in Europe in the 1500s and 1600s which favored a balance of exports over imports with a focus of wealth measure by gold and silver was mercantilism.

Explanation:

It is called mercantilism to a set of political and economic ideas of great pragmatism that were developed during the sixteenth, seventeenth and the first half of the eighteenth century in Europe. It was characterized by a strong State intervention in the economy, coinciding with the development of monarchical absolutism.

It consisted of a series of measures that focused on State intervention in the economy and the control of the currency. Thus, they tended to the state regulation of the economy, the unification of the internal market, the growth of population, the increase of own production - controlling natural resources and foreign and domestic markets, protecting local production from foreign competition, subsidizing private companies and creating privileged monopolies-, the imposition of tariffs on foreign products and the increase of the money supply -through the prohibition of exporting precious metals and inflationary coinage-, always with a view to the multiplication of fiscal revenues. These actions had the ultimate goal of forming the nation-state as strong as possible.

What is babylonian society structured around?
pshichka [43]
King => Nobles => Free citizens => Soldiers/Civil Service => Slaves.

Three main social classes included the awilu (free persons), the wardu (slaves), and the mushkenu (free persons of low estate).

As a punishment, free persons could be forced into slavery. Parents of children could also be sold into slavery.

Babylonians based the structure of their society around their own religious beliefs and how they will prosper. They were ruthless people who conquered many nations through force. Some accounts even state that the Babylonians would kill entire civilizations, even if the civilization had surrendered without any sort of resistance.

andrew11 [14]

Jobs is one of the biggest reasons as to why cities grow and that was a major factor in the 19th century. If there are a lot of jobs available in the cities people are going to move there so they can earn money to support their family or lifestyle

Hopefully this helped and good luck.

How were African Americans were treated in the South during Reconstruction.
DiKsa [7]

Answer:

During the period of Reconstruction, which lasted from 1865 to 1877, Congress passed and enforced laws that promoted civil and political rights for African Americans across the South. Most notable among the laws Congress passed were three Amendments to the US Constitution: the Thirteenth Amendment (1865) ended slavery, the Fourteenth Amendment (1868) guaranteed African Americans the rights of American citizenship, and the Fifteenth Amendment (1870) guaranteed black men the constitutional right to vote.

African Americans actively took up the rights, opportunities, and responsibilities of citizenship. During Reconstruction, seven hundred African American men served in elected public office, among them two United States Senators, and fourteen members of the United States House of Representatives. Another thirteen hundred African American men and women held appointed government jobs.

Led by Republicans in Congress, the federal government insisted on civil and political rights for African Americans in the face of fierce resistance by southern whites. Federal military occupation of the defeated Confederacy ensured African Americans' civil and political rights.
