Answer:

Hitler has been invading the neighboring countries to expand Germany territories East and West. But the geographical location of Great Britain was different. now he was attacking a country surrounded by water and famous for its Royal Navy. Britain took a defensive position. Now Hitler shifted war from land to air. He used his famous Luftwaffe (air force) to bombard cities of Britain.
