To explain about the umbra, it's directly by the moon, so it would just be complete darkness. Since a penumbra is in a spot where the sun's light overlaps the moon, you'll just be seeing light. So in short, for an umbra you'd see nothing but a dark circle. For a penumbra, it'd be the opposite. Nothing but light. I hope this helps!

The umbra is right by the moon so this would be a complete dark sphere with no kind of detail or any real textures whatsoever. The penumbra is in a spot where the sun's light overtakes the moon so you would be blinded by light.

It's 10 o'clock at night and you're out on a boat. if you head back into the coast where a land breeze is blowing, the temperature would get cooler. During the night, the land becomes cooler at a faster rate than the sea. The cold air from the land moves towards the sea to form the land breeze. The hot air from the sea rises and that gets filled up by the colder land breeze.

Which of the following statements is true?
SCORPION-xisa [38]

The true statement is - B. The rock cycle is powered by the movement of tectonic plates.

Almost all rocks on our planet came to existence because of the tectonic activity. The movement of the tectonic plates is enabling the magma from the mantle layer to come to the surface, cool off, and create new layers of rocks. On the other hand, the same process, where there's subdustion zones, is moving the existing rocks down into the mantle layer where they are ''recycled'' in way, and this process is continuing to happen all the time.
