In the 19th century, Manifest Destiny was a widely held belief in the United States that its settlers were destined to expand across North America. Historian Frederick Merk says this concept was born out of "a sense of mission to redeem the Old World by high example ... generated by the potentialities of a new earth for building a new heaven".In the 19th century, Manifest Destiny was a widely held belief in the United States that its settlers were destined to expand across North America. School gardens provide alot of nutrition and healthy benefits which shows here that "crops such as tomatoes, carrots, and peppers" which are healthy vegetables. And it says here about food local banks "The food grown in the garden can be donated to local banks, which will make students feel proud about helping their neighbors." It also has benefits in studying in parts of their lessons. It says here " Math teachers can take their students out to the garden to measure the heights of different plants" So it benefits for the teachers/students/staff/neighbors, so you should allow to have a school garden principal :3

How did the United States justify Imperialism?
Evgesh-ka [11]

Answer:

Before imperialism there was isolationism, which according to page 608 of the textbook was “the belief that America should stand apart, stay out of foreign wars, and avoid excessive political or economic involvement in foreign affairs”. This worked until 1846 when the US went to war with Mexico and gained four new states. With this new sense of power people begin to lean towards imperialism. Imperialism is “the policy or action by which one country controls another country or territory”. In 1893 there was an economic depression that led to an oversupply of manufactured goods that weren’t moving in America. In order to move these goods, businessman begin looking abroad. They believed that America needed to join the imperial competition and many military and political leaders agreed. A naval officer named Alfred Mahan published a book in which he wrote that in order for America to be a great world power we will need a great navy. This new imperial rule for the for America seemed to be justified by the idea of social Darwinism, which is basically just survival of the fittest.

to what extent were relations between the united states and great britain more positive in the era of good feelings than they we
Masteriza [31]

In the 1780's and 1790's The United States and Britain had just fought in a war against each other. The United States and Britain went to war over the American people wanting freedom from British rule and taxation. The Americas won the war leading to large American debt and strained relations with Great Britain who embargoed American made goods.

The Era of Good Feelings, which occurred from about 1815 until about 1825, was a time period in which nationalism (or extreme pride in one's country) were at a high after America won the War of 1812. After the War of 1812, many British citizen wanted to reopen trade between Great Britain and America. There were no territorial losses between either countries and both sides were open to becoming close allies. This was made possible after the Treaty of Ghent, Rush-Bagot Treaty, The Treaty of 1818, The Webster-Ashburton Treaty, The return of Massachusetts, and the Oregon Treaty. These agreements documented the positive energy and the willingness to compromise and remain allies of both major nations.
