What were the conditions on the ships during the Middle Passage? Choose all that apply.
Alexeev081 [22]

The conditions on the ships during the Middle Passage are:

 • Dirty from humans being that close to one another
 • Smelly from vomit
 • No room to move
 • Diseases spread quickly
 • It was best to be at the top of the bunks than at the bottom

Explanation:

The slaves were treated with cruelty. They used to load so many slaves in one ship that they all had no space to move. They were all shackled. There was no proper hygiene available.

Only buckets were provided for excretion. That too wasn't for everyone to use. Diseases spread so fast that it killed 1000s of slaves.

Despite of appropriate availability of food. Small quantity was brought in the ship and there was never enough food to feed the slaves.
