Answer:

A. concern over germs

Explanation:

This question is incomplete. The complete sentence of the question and its options goes as follows:

Identify the obsession in the following sentence. "Keisha is overly concerned about germs, so she spends hours wiping the surfaces of her home and washing her hands."

A. concern over germs

B. germs

C. spending hours washing her hands

D. spending hours wiping the surfaces of her home

In psychology, the term obsession refers to a recurring thought or image that a person experiences, which is intrusive and it causes anxiety to the person.

This anxiety leads to a compulsion which is the behavior that the person feels the urge to do in order to stop the intrusive thought (in other words, to stop the obsession).

In this example Keisha is overly concerned about germs (this is a recurring thought she has, therefore this is the obsession) and as a result she spends hours wiping the surfaces of her home and washing her hands (this is a behavior done in order to stop the thought so this would be the compulsion).

Therefore, the obsession is the concern over germs

Gennadij [26K]

Answer: There are many natural and human developed factors which affect the population distribution.

Explanation:

Natural factors:

Landforms: Plains are the most crowded places of survival of human population as they provide suitable land area for survival. The mountains and deserts are not preferred because the landforms are not suitable for survival.

Climatic conditions: Majority of people prefer to stay in areas with moderate climatic conditions.

Government policies: Those areas where government policies restrict the migration and trade of people are sparsely populated areas.

Hazard prone areas: Places where chances of oceanic tides, thunderstorms, volcanic eruptions are prominent are least occupied areas.

Main cause of population growth in urban areas are as follows:

1. Availability of food, shelter, medical, and literacy.

2. Availability of recreational areas, picnic spots, and other places.

3. Availability of occupational opportunities and chances of increase in income growth are prominent in urban areas as compared to rural areas.

Silk Road:

The Silk Road specifically refers to the trading land routes that connects East and Southeast Asia to South Asia and Persia followed by Arabian Peninsula, East Africa and finally Southern Europe.

This network was regularly used from 130 BCE and part of that road is still in existence as a paved highway that connects Pakistan and the Uygur.

Chinese are the one who first started trading in this road and as its name indicates it is mainly used as a trade route for trading silks.

Hence this ancient road played a major role on times when it was constructed.

How did the Supreme Court and Southern state governments limit the rights of African Americans in the late 1800s?
mezya [45]

By implementation of black codes and Jim crow laws, Southerners were able to restrict the rights of African Americans in the late 1800.

Explanation:

After the civil war, the confederate states were quick to envisage what was known to be black codes. These were laws that were advocated with the desire to bring back the same conditions that prevailed during the slavery. These laws insisted the African Americans to work for low wages and restricted their freedom to associate with one another in the same country. Black code were created by the white law makers who desired to prove their dominance in the country.

Prevalence of slavery in the antebellum south is the major cause in fact for the American economy to attain stability. Jim crow laws legalized segregation of people based on their race and ethnicity. It was considered to be legal based on the doctrine 'separate but equal' mentioned in the constitution.
