Since the perimeter of the square is 16cm, each side is 4cm.

If we subtract the area of the two unshaded triangles from the area of the square we will know the area of the shaded portion...

The small inverted triangle on the left has a height of 4 and a base of 1.  The are of the bottom triangle has a height of 2 and a base of 4...

So the area of the two triangles is 4*1/2+2*4/2=2+4=6

The area of the square is just 4*4=16 so:

The shaded area is 16-6=10cm^2

The proportion of the shaded area to the total area is then:

10cm^2:16cm^2

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

In ΔACB and ΔCAD,

AD║BC and AC is a transverse [Given]

∠BCA ≅ ∠DAC [Alternate interior angles]

AC ≅ AC [Reflexive property]

BC ≅ AD [Given]

ΔACB ≅ ΔCAD [By SAS property of congruence]

From the second figure,

In ΔJHG and ΔLKH,

JH ≅ LK [Given]

JG ≅ LH [Given]

GH ≅ HK [Given]

Therefore, ΔJHG ≅ ΔLKH [By SSS property of congruence]

When estimating a job to bid, a contractor’s estimator first determines the actual cost of labor using the function
CaHeK987 [17]

Answer:

M(B(h))=78.18025h

Step-by-step explanation:

First we have the following equations:

L(h) = 28.75h         eq. 1

B(L) = 1.78L            eq. 2

M(B) = 1.43B           eq. 3

To find the selling price based on the estimated number of hours, we need to start replacing equation 1 in equation 2 as:

B(L) = 1.78*B

B(L(h)) = 1.78*(28.75h)

B(L(h)) = B(h) = 51.175h       eq. 4

Finally, if we weplace equation 4 in equation 3, we get:

M(B) = 1.43B

M(B(h)) = 1.43*(51.175h)

M(B(h)) = 73.18025h

So, the composite function that can be used to find the selling price for the labor portion of a bid based on the estimated number of hours is:

M(B(h)) = 73.18025h

Step-by-step explanation:

A histogram is applied when the data is discrete/ continuous to present a visual understanding of the data by showing the number of data set fitting is a specified range.

A dot plot utilizes data which has only one measured variable, where the variable can be organized into categories.
