The midpoint of JK is point L at (–1, 8). One endpoint is J(4, –15). Which equations can be solved to determine the coordinates

of the other endpoint, K? Check all that apply.  = –1  = 4 –15 + y1 = 4 –15 + y1 = 16  = x1 = y1

Given two endpoints: (x_1,\ y_1) and (x_2,\ y_2), the midpoint of the two endpoints (x_m,\ y_m) is given by
(x_m,\ y_m)=\left( \frac{x_1+x_2}{2} ,\  \frac{y_1+y_2}{2}\right)

Thus, given the midpoint L(-1, 8) and one endpoint J(4, -15). The second endpont is given by
(-1,\ 8)=\left( \frac{x_1+4}{2} ,\ \frac{y_1+(-15)}{2}\right)
i.e.
\frac{x_1+4}{2} =-1 \\  \\ x_1+4=-2 \\  \\ x_1=-2-4=-6
and
\frac{y_1+(-15)}{2}=8 \\  \\ y_1-15=16 \\  \\ y_1=16+15=31

A random variable x is uniformly distributed between 45 and 150: to 4 decimal places, what is the probability that x = 48?
klio [65]
It appears that the distribution in question may be a continuous uniform distribution. In that case there is an infinite number of possible values between 45 and 150. Therefore the probability that x is exactly 48 is zero.

Izzy gets a loan of $2,800 with an APR of 3.5% . She will repay the loan in monthly payments for 9 months. To find the total amo
djyliett [7]
First, change percent into decimal value
Percent means per hundred
APR = 3.5%
APR = 3.5/100
APR = 0.035
The APR is 0.035 of the total loan

Second, we need to find interest rate for 9 months
interest rate = 9/12 × 0.035
interest rate = 3/4 × 0.035
interest rate = 0.75 × 0.035

Third, determine what to put into calculator
She can put it like this
interest = interest rate × total loan
interest = 0.75 × 0.035 × 2,800

Or she can put it like this
interest = 0.02625 × 2,800
