Racism is one of the topics that we could address in a morality tale. This would be an effective topic because it is a widespread problem that poses many ethical questions and has a negative effect on our society.

A morality tale is a type of allegory in which moral virtues are personified and attempt to convince the protagonist of choosing a life of good over one of evil.

He probably did that to: A, make it easier to pick out the more important characters, and B, show that the commoners spoke simple and succinct, whereas the nobles were more educated, and, as such, had a prettier way of speaking. Hope this helps!
