Jobs' Stanford Commencement Address contains 3 stories. These three stories connect with each other in a very particular way. As he uses the expression connect the dots he states the structural organization of topics. The speech is made to motive the graduates to go further by using pathos. Besides connecting with the emotional reaction of the audience the points support each other to create a whole.

This speech of Steve Jobs flows in a very balanced way as he advances in the story connecting the effects of life, decisions, and passion to succeed.
