Answer: The human body is designed to experience stress and react to it. Stress can be positive ("eustress") -- such as a getting a job promotion or being given greater responsibilities -- keeping us alert and ready to avoid danger. Stress becomes negative ("distress") when a person faces continuous challenges without relief or relaxation between challenges. As a result, the person becomes overworked and stress-related tension builds.

Which one of the following is a benefit of performing sit and reach?
Anarel [89]
The correct answer is D. All of the above. The sit and reach is a type of flexibility stretch that stretches your hamstrings. So obviously it would increase your flexibility and promote circulation. Stretching also helps with preventing injuries (I should know, I am an athlete myself).
Hope I helped!

Why must the medical practitioner adhere to certain ethical standards and codes of conduct?
polet [3.4K]

A medical practitioner must adhere to certain ethical standards and codes of conduct because he/she cannot make decisions based solely on his own judgement because it might be biased or too subjective. Therefore, a practitioner must abide by the code of ethics because it delivers guidance to the practitioner in addressing common ethical questions and it elucidates the duties and responsibilities of the practitioner.

A growing fetus has a vessel, the ductus arteriosus, in the heart that connects the pulmonary artery with the aorta and conducts
kirill115 [55]

Answer:

The baby starts breathing

Explanation:

While in the womb, a fetus has its oxygen delivered to it, and the waste products removed (all via the mother's bloodstream), so there is no reason to separate all the chambers of the heart while still in the womb.

However, once the baby is born and it is breathing, the chambers need to differentiate in order to allow the blood to reach the lungs, and the oxygenated blood and deoxygenated blood do not mix.
