Set up a proportion:

First convert 75 inches to feet.

75 in = 6.25 ft

1/6.25 = x/50

Multiply 50 to both sides:

50 * 1/6.25 = x

50/6.25 = x

x = 8

So the tire will rotate 8 times after Frank rides 50 feet.

The foot is subdivided into 12 inches ;
50 × 12 ÷ 75 = 600 ÷ 75 = 8 rotations ;

To help consumers assess the risks they are taking, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) publishes the amount of nicotine fo
Blizzard [7]

Answer:

t=\frac{26.8-29.9}{\frac{2.7}{\sqrt{9}}}=-3.44

df=n-1=9-1=8

p_v =P(t_{(8)}

Since the p value is lower than the significance level we have enough evidence to reject the null hypothesis and is not enough evidence to conclude that the claim is true.

Step-by-step explanation:

Data given

\bar X=26.8 represent the sample mean

s=2.7 represent the sample standard deviation

n=9 sample size

\mu_o =29.9 represent the value that we want to test

\alpha=0.05 represent the significance level for the hypothesis test.

t would represent the statistic (variable of interest)

p_v represent the p value for the test (variable of interest)

System of hypothesis

We need to conduct a hypothesis in order to check if the true mean exceed 29.9 or no, the system of hypothesis would be:

Null hypothesis:\mu \geq 29.9

Alternative hypothesis:\mu < 29.9

The statistic is given by:

t=\frac{\bar X-\mu_o}{\frac{s}{\sqrt{n}}}  (1)

Calculate the statistic

We can replace in formula (1) the info given like this:

t=\frac{26.8-29.9}{\frac{2.7}{\sqrt{9}}}=-3.44

P-value

The degrees of freedom are given by:

df=n-1=9-1=8

Since is a one sided test the p value would be:

p_v =P(t_{(8)}

Conclusion

Since the p value is lower than the significance level we have enough evidence to reject the null hypothesis and is not enough evidence to conclude that the claim is true.

For the functions f(x) = 2x − 6 and g(x) = 5x + 1, which composition produces the greatest output? A. Both compositions produce
o-na [289]
F(g(x)) = 2(5x+1)-6 = 10x+2-6 = 10x-4

g(f(x)) = 5(2x-6)+1 = 10x-30+1 = 10-29

10x-4>10-29 because from f(g(x)) you subtract less quantity.
The answer to your question is C. I hope that this is the answer that you were looking for and it has helped you.

75% increase followed by 50% decrease is it greater than to original
IceJOKER [234]

Answer:

  • Set original amount = x

<u>After a 75% increase, it would become</u>

x + 75%x = x + 0.75x = x(1 + 0.75) = 1.75x

<u>After a 50% decrease, it would become</u>

1.75x - 50%(1.75x) = 1.75x - 0.5(1.75x) = 1.75x - 0.875x = 0.875x = \frac{7}{8} x

Because \frac{7}{8} x is less than x, the new amount would be less than the original.

Multiply the rational expressions: Divide the rational expressions:
Montano1993 [528]

Answer:

1). \frac{2}{(x+1)}

2). \frac{x^2}{2(x+1)}

Step-by-step explanation:

For multiplication of the rational expressions,

\frac{x}{(x+1)}\times \frac{2}{x}

= \frac{2x}{x(x+1)}

= \frac{2}{(x+1)}

For division of the rational expressions,

\frac{x}{(x+1)}\div \frac{2}{x}

= \frac{x}{(x+1)}\times \frac{x}{2}

= \frac{x^2}{2(x+1)}

[When the divisor is a rational expression or a rational number, we change the sign from division to multiplication and reciprocate or flip the fraction.

This is applicable for division of the rational expressions only].

Log(1+y) - log(1-y) = log x in 2 decimal places, express y in terms of x
GaryK [48]

Answer: y = \frac{x-1}{x+1}

Step-by-step explanation:

log(1+y) - log(1-y) = log x \\log\frac{1+y}{1-y} =log x\\x = \frac{1+y}{1-y}\\x(1-y)=1+y\\x-xy=1+y\\x-1 = xy+y\\y(x+1)=x-1\\y=\frac{x-1}{x+1}
