Answer:

 • Set original amount = x

After a 75% increase, it would become

x + 75%x = x + 0.75x = x(1 + 0.75) = 1.75x

After a 50% decrease, it would become

1.75x - 50%(1.75x) = 1.75x - 0.5(1.75x) = 1.75x - 0.875x = 0.875x = \frac{7}{8} x

Because \frac{7}{8} x is less than x, the new amount would be less than the original.

Eloise made a list of some multiples of 8/5 write 5 fractions that can be in Eloise list
alexgriva [62]
This question is asking for a list of fractions, that when you pull out common factors, they will all simplify back to the 8/5 fraction.

So if 2 is the common factor, you multiply the numerator and denominator by 2.

2: (8*2)/(5*2)= 16/10

3: (8*3)/5*3)= 24/15

4: (8*4)/(5*4)= 32/20

5: (8*5)/(5*5)= 40/25

10: (8*10)/5*10)= 80/50

Eloise's Potential List:
16/10, 24/15, 32/20, 40/25, 80/50

If you simplify any of these fractions above, you will get 8/5 again.

To work backwards:
80/50: 10 goes into 80, 10 goes into 50= 8/5

16/10: 2 goes into 16, 2 goes into 10= 8/5

Hope this helps! :)

Find the sum of the following infinite geometric series, if it exists.
Alex_Xolod [135]

We can see that for every increment, the number gets doubled positively. Since we are looking for the value when the repetition is made infinite, therefore the value at that point would also be infinite. Since infinite is imaginary, therefore the correct answer is:

Does not exist
