A

Increased competition is the effects of population increase and resource depletion

Explanation:

When there are many individuals in a population or community sharing limited resources, then there is bound to be intense competition, for the resources, between the individuals. This competition results in the survival of those individuals with the slightest advantage  over others in acquiring the resources. The fittest survive while the weak perish. The numbers in the population / community will decrease to the carrying capacity that the limited resources can accommodate and sustain.

Answer AND Explanation:

As the population increases, the amount of resources are depleted. Inadequate resources makes the population growth to stop. With a high population, death rate increases due to starvation and diseases which spread more easily in a large population. There may be a decrease in birth rate due to fewer matings and abortions resulting from social stress.

Describe how an organism has 2 sets of dna and the importance of homologous chromosomes
LenKa [72]
Most organisms are Diploid, and as a result, they will have received 2 copies of the chromosomes, or sets of chromosomes, from both their parents. This they will have 2 sets of Genes that will perform almost exact same process, except with different phenotypes.

These chromosomes need to be homologous, in order for new alleles and other genetic combinations to be made.

The fertilization of ovules from Plant Q by pollen from Plant R results in the production of seeds. What percent of the genes in
blagie [28]

Answer:

The correct answer is - option A. 0%

Explanation:

The zygote formation or fertilization in flowering plants occurs by the fusion of pollen of one plant with the ovum of another plant of the same species normally. This process includes the exchange of an equal amount of the genetic contribution from both plants.

The egg cell of the mother is responsible for the mitochondria and chloroplast of the progeny so the percentage of chloroplast genes provided via Plant R is 0% as ovum and egg cell comes from only plant Q.

percentage of chloroplast gene inherited from R plant is a)0%
