Making an inference means: <em>using context clues</em>. True( This is done by a reader when reading a text. He / she constructs conclusion by linking the hints / clues in the text).
Drawing a conclusion means analyzing a story ending. <em>False. </em>( A story has many moments and parts. The reader can draw conclusions at any moment to understand many issues: events or characters' decisions. Therefore, conclusions are not necessarily drawn when analysing the end of a story.)
When you make inference, you basically are drawing conclusions by taking a guess about what you don't know or what you're not sure of by using clues in the text along with your personal experiences to help figure out what is not directly said or implied, making the text personal and memorable.
Inferences are not always true; meaning that you may actually guess wrong.
Take for instance;
A character has a diaper in her hand, and a baby food on her laps.
You can infer that this character is a nursing mother base because majority of those who make use of diapers for their kids are mothers
