gavmur [86]

Answer:

  • <u>Your friend will win the race due to speed.</u>

Explanation:

<em>Looking at the image, if both friends had ran at the same speed rate, the match would've ended as a draw because the distance was equal. However, my friend had ran faster than I did, therefore, my friend would've won the race due to speed.</em>

Kite WXYZ is graphed on a coordinate plane. What is the approximate perimeter of the kite? Round to the nearest tenth. 10.6 unit
Archy [21]

<u>Answer-</u>

<em>Perimeter of the kite is </em><em>16.2 units</em>

<u>Solution-</u>

As WXYZ is a kite, so two disjoint pairs of consecutive sides are congruent, i.e WX=XY and WZ=ZY

So, perimeter of the kite WXYZ is,

=2(\overline{WX}+\overline{WZ})

And

\overline{WX}=\sqrt{(1-3)^2+(1-4)^2}=\sqrt{(-2)^2+(-3)^2}=\sqrt{4+9}=\sqrt{13}

\overline{WZ}=\sqrt{(1-3)^2+(1+3)^2}=\sqrt{(-2)^2+(4)^2}=\sqrt{4+16}=\sqrt{20}

So, perimeter will be,

P=2(\sqrt{13}+\sqrt{20})=16.15\approx 16.2\ units

$600 is deposited in an account that pays 7% annual interest, compounded continuously. What is the balance after 5 years? Please
Anit [1.1K]

Answer:

$842

Step-by-step explanation:

The Total amount after a compound interest can be calculated using the formula:

T = P(1 + \frac{R}{100})^{n}

where P is the <em>amount of deposit</em>, R is the <em>rate of interest</em>, n is the <em>duration</em>.

Hence by substituting the values, we get:

T = 600(1 + \frac{7}{100} )^5

<u>T = $842 (3 sf)</u>
